About me
Until 2019, I worked on restoration building projects. I then finally got around to spending my days drawing, and painting, and trying to encourage and help others to do the same.

I felt like I needed to make up lost ground: all those years with no painting experience! So I set about looking for ways to make the learning process as economical, efficient, fast and rewarding as possible. This became a project, and then an obsession, which has given me a lot of useful tips, tricks and techniques to pass on.

Working with several groups from hugely varied backgrounds over the last few years has also shown me how incredibly nourishing, and restorative, the drawing and painting process can be.

Learning a skill, whatever it is, is good for the soul and good for the mind. Learning to draw (and to draw with paint) can improve your experience of life immeasurably. It provides a total, all-absorbing, escape from whatever else occupies your time. It can be a 'meditation'. You also experience the joy and exhilaration of creating something fresh and original.
I highly recommend that you have a go!
